Arrests

July 29

6:37 p.m.: Leo Allen Cranford, 40, of the 200 block of North Harding Avenue, was arrested at his residence on charges of first degree sodomy and first degree child molestation.

8:04 p.m.: Charles D. Leisler, 28, of Steelville, was arrested in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

Incidents

July 25

11:13 p.m.: An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Broadway Boulevard while traveling north. As the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, he noticed it was traveling at a high rate of speed. He then activated his emergency lights and siren. He located the vehicle rolling down the road near the intersection of West Fifth Street and South Park Avenue, as the driver had run from the vehicle. The suspect was not located.

July 29

9:12 a.m.: Subjects were reportedly yelling and screaming outside apartments in the 300 block of Buckner Court, reportedly making threats against the two complainants.

11:32 a.m.: A van bench seat was reported stolen from a storage shed in the 300 block of North Grand Avenue.

12:37 p.m.: Spark plug wires and brakes were reportedly tampered with on a vehicle parked on the street outside an apartment in the 500 block of West Seventh Street, causing $2,000 in damage.

2:06 p.m.: A 42-inch LG LED television, valued at $749.99, was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court.

July 30

1:01 a.m.: An ATM was reportedly forcibly entered at a business in the 300 block of North Iron Avenue. The amount of money/items stolen was not determined.

July 29

6:48 p.m.: Mary L. Fagan, 26, of Cole Camp, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident and no insurance.
