March 7 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 3

8:59 p.m.: Destiny L. Galbreath, 28, of Kansas City, was arrested in the 3800 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

March 4

6:24 p.m.: Jeffrey Robert Stoney, 35, of the 2100 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. On March 3, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance where a couple was arguing and it ended in a physical disturbance causing injuries to the victim. The suspect was located March 4. The victim refused medical treatment.

March 5

1:38 p.m.: David Mathis, 69, of the 1200 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 13th Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of careless and imprudent driving, alcohol-related. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident involving a parked vehicle. The driver smelled of alcohol and told the officer he had a few to drink that day because it was his birthday.

Incidents

March 3

3:19 p.m.: A 45 caliber rifle, valued at $500, was reported stolen from a residence in the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard. There were no signs of forced entry.

March 4

9:19 a.m.: Overnight, someone reportedly damaged a vehicle at a business in the 3300 block of West Broadway Boulevard and stole the wheels.

3:43 p.m.: The back door of a residence in the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue was broken into and a laptop and gaming system were stolen.

March 5

8:30 a.m.: A female victim reported a subject known to her broke into her residence in the 900 block of South Kentucky Avenue and stole $3,000 from a safe. She said there were two other suspects involved.

3:07 p.m.: A female victim said a white male came into a business in the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue around 11:50 p.m. March 4. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The victim was able to secure herself in a room away from the suspect. The suspect fled the scene without taking anything. No injuries were reported.

March 6

12:37 a.m.: A victim reported a known male came to their residence in the 800 block of East Seventh Street looking for drugs or money. The man threatened to come back with a gun. Before leaving, he damaged the front storm door by breaking the glass with a baseball bat.

1:12 p.m.: A trailer was reported stolen from a storage business in the 900 block of Normandy Road sometime over the last three months. The trailer is a gray 2003 Keystone Springdale 268BH Travel Trailer valued at $14,239.

Arrests

March 3

10:09 p.m.: Thomas R. Davis, 27, of Hir, Georgia, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:15 p.m.: Donald J. Paiva, 53, of Lee, Florida, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

11:13 p.m.: Rheagan L. Nelson, 34, of Milo, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, no seat belt, failure to secure a child in a child restraint and two counts of child endangerment.

March 4

1:20 a.m.: Jerry L. Logan, 48, of Oak Grove, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

2 a.m.: Christopher J. Wright, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no valid license.

2:16 a.m.: Cody L. Claus, 24, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of possession of a controlled substance (prescription pills) and possession of marijuana.

9 p.m.: Archie L. Williams Jr., 23, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

March 5

5:25 p.m.: Erin H. Perrell, 43, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and lane violation.

8:02 p.m.: James D. Baker, 36, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no operator’s license.
