This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

March 8

1 a.m.: Sherrell A. Peck, 36, of the 1000 block of West Third Street, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of North Engineer Avenue and East Howard Street for possession of marijuana. A traffic stop was conducted and during the investigation the subject was found in possession of marijuana.

7:06 p.m.: Jessica N. Weaver, 29, of the 700 block of East 18th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 18th Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

8:40 p.m.: Santiago R. Gonzalez Romero, 21, of the 200 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East 14th Street and South Hancock Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

10:08 p.m.: Brian Eugene Tripp, 29, of the 300 block of North Summit Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

March 8

12:44 p.m.: A truck was reported stolen Feb. 28 from a residence in the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue.

3:32 p.m.: An officer responded to the 400 block of East 13th Street for an agency assist to meet with Child Services doing an investigation about sexual assault claims involving children. An interview has been set up with Child Safe of Central Missouri.

Arrests

March 8

10:10 a.m.: Gregory L. Atwater, 31, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of possession of marijuana and no seat belt.

10:12 a.m.: Andrew T. McCormack, 30, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and no seat belt.

12:15 p.m.: Antonio M. Love, 28, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County on charges of two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

6:30 p.m.: Kris A. Wood, 29, of Independence, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving with a revoked license, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (THC oil), possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

6:30 p.m.: Audrey L. Moore, 17, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (THC oil), possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
