This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
7:41 p.m.: Ruben J. Logan, 18, of the 100 block of East 11th Street, was arrested in the 2300 block of North Woodlawn Drive on a charge of assault. An officer responded to a report of a disturbance. The victim said they were hit with a baseball bat. They refused medical treatment. The suspect was located later.
4:55 a.m.: Kevin Michael Hunt, 36, of the 2800 block of Brockview, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Garfield Avenue on charges of distributing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and not using a turn signal while changing lanes. He gained consent to search the occupants and found the driver was in possession of methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle revealed more methamphetamine and evidence of drug sales.
10:50 a.m.: Cody Roberts Wissman, 25, of the 2100 block of South Warren Avenue was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
4:44 p.m.: An employee reportedly stole $764 from a business in the 200 block of South Lamine Avenue.
11:50 p.m.: A pistol, valued at $800, was reported stolen from a locked vehicle parked at a residence in the 300 block of West Fifth Street.
Pettis County Sheriff’s Office
2:26 a.m.: Dale Kabler was arrested in the 19000 block of Whitfield Road on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and property damage.
2:38 p.m.: The Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and Pettis County deputies conducted a “knock-and-talk” in the 2800 block of state Route TT in Sedalia in reference to anonymous tips of drug activity. During the investigation, Jessica Rena Brown, 27, was arrested on charges of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
2:35 p.m.: Raymond G. King, 48, of Warsaw, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no driver’s license.
