Aug. 8-9 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 5

12:04 p.m.: Justin S. Lange, 34, of Sedalia was arrested on possession of methamphetamine near in intersection of East 17th Street and South Engineer Avenue. According to a Sedalia police report, a resident who was mowing his lawn contacted police after he observed a man sleeping in his car in order to check on his well being. Police contacted Lange and obtained permission to search the vehicle he was sleeping in and found suspected methamphetamine in the car. Lange was booked into the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

4:18 p.m.: Police arrested Samuel S. Morris, 27, of Sedalia, in the 1700 block of East Ninth Street on suspicion of possession of synthetic narcotics. Police also arrested Kristi L. Evans, 32, of Sedalia, on suspicion of illegal possession of prescription drugs after police responded to complaint of a suspicious vehicle. According to a police report, upon contacting Morris, they observed a bag of a substance suspected of being the synthetic narcotic K2. Police then obtained permission to search Evans’ purse where they allegedly found a bottle of pills containing Demerol and methadone. Morris and Evans were placed under arrest and booked into the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Aug. 5

4:20 p.m.: Katherine M. Comer, 40, of Armstrong, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Saline County.

Aug. 6

7:01 p.m.: Carolyn K. Emmanuel, 57, of Centerview, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on right half of roadway in Johnson County.
