This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 14

12:27 p.m.: Kendal E. Smith, 18, of the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard, was arrested in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue on a charge of stealing.

1:36 p.m.: Mya S. Fraley, 18, no address given, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

Aug. 15

7:48 p.m.: Millisa D. Schultz, 40, of Knob Noster, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and second degree property damage.

Incidents

Aug. 14

9:51 a.m.: A white Specialized racing bike was reported stolen from a garage in the 600 block of West 24th Street.

11:45 a.m.: A subject reportedly collided with a chain link fence surrounding a residence in the 3200 block of East Broadway Boulevard, knocking down a portion of the fence.

4:12 p.m.: $25.01 worth of gas was reported stolen from a business in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

Aug. 15

6:02 a.m.: A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of West 10th Street. The victim stated a window was rolled down, allowing access to the vehicle.

8:53 a.m.: A trail camera, valued at $140, was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of East Ninth Street. The victim stated it was unknown if he had locked the vehicle.

Aug. 16

2:39 a.m.: A fence was reportedly torn down by a suspect at a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

3:32 a.m.: A subject was unable to pay the $10 fee after a taxi ride in the 700 block of North Grand Avenue, so he reportedly offered to compensate the driver with $10 worth of marijuana.

11:02 a.m.: A Honda quad-cut self-propelled motor lawn mower, valued at $500, was reported stolen in the 1600 block of East Sixth Street. The mower is red with a silver deck.

11:48 a.m.: A vehicle reported stolen in Higginsville was found by a SPD officer in the 1500 block of West Third Street.

3:07 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in a park parking lot in the 2200 block of South Grand Avenue.

3:37 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in front of a residence in the 600 block of East 11th Street.

Aug. 17

12:56 p.m.: A subject reportedly attempted to gain entry into a business in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard by prying on a locked door.

Arrests

Aug. 15

12:57 a.m.: Randy Lee Gleason Jr., of Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of Boonville Road and New York Avenue for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Aug. 16

5:17 a.m.: Statutory rape of a juvenile was reported in the 200 block of West Green Street in Smithton.

9:21 p.m.: Several tools, valued at $4,500, were reported stolen in the 29000 block of Boonville Road.

Arrests

Aug. 14

2:06 p.m.: Dustin J. Tennis, 33, of Latham, was arrested in Moniteau County on a charge of no valid operator’s license.

Aug. 15

2:19 a.m.: Michael L. Stroud, 54, of Kansas City, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of boating while intoxicated and operating a vessel exceeding 30 mph after sunset.

10:47 p.m.: Del A. Egelston, 26, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of headlamp violation, no seat belt, failure to drive on the right half of the road, no insurance, driving while intoxicated, and two counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child.

11:42 p.m.: Lucas C. Walker, 31, of Grandview, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of no valid license and no insurance.

Aug. 16

1:51 a.m.: Tara L. Saldivar, 20, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

8:47 p.m.: Jessica L. Davis, 34, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated.
