This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 20

3:59 a.m.: Justin Travis Perry, 25, of the 2100 block of East 16th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Osage Avenue on charges of driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and first degree property damage.

Aug. 21

11:55 p.m.: Zane Thomas Craig, 20, of Cole Camp, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard charges of possession of marijuana and driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

Aug. 20

1:43 p.m.: $19 was reported stolen from a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

4:46 p.m.: The front passenger wheel/tire was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 900 block of South Moniteau Avenue.

6:51 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of West U.S. Highway 50 and South U.S. Highway 65.

Incidents

Aug. 20

9:20 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a physical fight in progress in the 1400 block of Elm Hills Boulevard. Susan Ann Sweeney, 36, was arrested on charges stemming from the physical fight.

Arrests

Aug. 21

12:45 a.m.: Broderick B. Hayes, 23, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding and no insurance.

3:34 a.m.: Robert T. Pendleton, 22, of Kansas City, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a single lane.
