This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
5:41 p.m. : Jason D. Henderson, 34, of Sedalia was arrested on suspicion of third degree assault and disturbing the peace. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a suicidal person in the 600 block of South Hancock Avrenue. Upon contact with the subject, it was agreed that he would be taken to the hospital for treatment,, according to the report. At the hospital, the subject reportedly made threats of physical violence and several racial comments. After the subject was treated, he was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
10:27 p.m.: Jordan David Roberts, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to obey and resisting arrest.
7:45 a.m.: DeAndre Katrall, 24, was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault in the 600 block of South Osage Street. He was booked into the Pettis County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
1:33 p.m. Shannon George Wheatley, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and stealing.
10:06 p.m.: Joshua Ray Smith was arrested on suspicion of drinking in public at the corner of West Broadway Boulevard and Park Street.
7:45 p.m. John Paul Jones, 43, of Sedalia was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order.
10:41 a.m.: Melissa Helen Jones, 35, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
1:39 a.m.: Officers took a report of a stolen 2007 Dodge pickup in 700 block of West 27th Street. The truck was later recovered in Independence, Missouri.
1:45 a.m.: Officers investigated a possible shooting that occurred in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street in Sedalia. According to a police report, officers responded to a call of shots fired and upon arrival did not find anyone injured. Officers did recover a .9 mm bullet casing, a marijuana cigarette, and observed several drops of blood. Those items were sent to a lab for DNA analysis. No victim or suspect was found or identified.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
12:45 a.m.: Broderick B. Hayes, 23, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding and no insurance.
3:34 a.m.: Robert T. Pendleton, 22, of Kansas City, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a single lane.
