This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 24

9:40 a.m.: David Eddie Taylor, 34, of the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue, was arrested in the 2800 block of South Grand Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

3:21 p.m.: Corey D. Elder, 52, no address given, was arrested in the 1400 block of West Ohio Avenue on charges of stealing and possession of marijuana.

7:28 p.m.: Kevin M. Lawson, 27, of the 2500 block of Marshall Avenue, was arrested in the 2600 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

7:39 p.m.: Joseph Lee Casdorph, 26, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of South Engineer Avenue and East Fifth Street on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:37 p.m.: Austin D. Monteer, 19, of the 1100 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Main Street and South Prospect Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Aug. 10

2:29 p.m.: A sexual assault was reported in the 900 block of Mitchell Road.

Aug. 24

8:36 a.m.: A purse containing $253.50 worth of items, a driver’s license, social security cards, birth certificates and immunizations records was reported stolen in the 400 block of East Third Street.

12:42 p.m.: A suspect reportedly assaulted a female victim and took her rent money, then left the residence in the 1900 block of West 10th Street. The area was searched but the suspect was not located.

4:11 p.m.: A 2010 Ford Fusion was reportedly not returned to a business in the 2100 block of South Limit Avenue.

5:35 p.m.: Unknown subjects reportedly stole three small plants, valued at $15, from the front porch of a residence in the 1700 block of South Harrison Avenue and tore a long planter of flowers loose and threw it around the porch.

Arrests

Aug. 25

2:40 a.m.: Brian W. Iliff, of Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of Pettis Street and Ohio Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

7:52 a.m.: Raymond Rudy Montez was arrested in the 19000 block of Whitfield Road on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Aug. 24

12:31 p.m.: An AM/FM radio, valued at $50, was reported stolen from a Smithton school bus, along with minor vandalism inside the bus in the 500 block of South Myrtle Avenue.

Arrests

Aug. 24

10:37 p.m.: Kelsie M. Smithpeter, 26, of Marshall, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

Aug. 25

1:29 a.m.: Kurt M. Hunholz, 33, of Concordia, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license and failure to place a vehicle not in motion as far to the right as possible.

11:30 a.m.: Christopher E. Burnett, 21, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, was arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
