Sept. 2 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Aug. 31

11 a.m.: A refrigerator and stove were reported stolen when the suspect moved out of the residence in the 1100 block of East 11th Street. The complainant stated the items were not to be removed from the residence.

5:01 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported while the vehicle was parked near residences in the 2500 block of Kay Avenue.

Sept. 1

6:18 a.m.: A checkbook was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2000 block of South Harrison Avenue.

Arrests

Sept. 1

5:04 a.m.: Jose Luis Carlos-Waldo, of Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of state Route Y and Van Natta Road on a charge of driving without a license and speeding.

Arrests

Aug. 31

3:35 p.m.: Dennis J. Eckstein, 38, of Fredericktown, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

9:42 p.m.: Frank A. Mech, 59, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, failure to maintain lane and expired plates.
