Sept. 19-20 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 17

12:52 p.m.: Anthony Lamar Melton, 27, no address given, was arrested in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of identity theft and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

3:20 p.m.: Linda G. Wasson, 61, of the 500 block of West Fourth Street, was issued a municipal court summons in the 500 block of West Fourth Street for illegal burning after she was burning insulation off of copper wire behind her residence.

7:50 p.m.: Nicholas Nance, 21, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for stealing.

Sept. 18

12:52 a.m.: Cody Allen Hammond, 27, of the 2300 block of South Missouri Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and Thompson Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Sept. 17

11:50 a.m.: A white female was reportedly assaulting a black male in the 1600 block of South Osage Avenue, holding him to the ground and punching him in the face and neck area.

12:02 p.m.: A backpack containing school textbooks was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of South Mildred Avenue.

3:45 p.m.: A white male reportedly threw a cup of soda on a male subject and was yelling profanities at him in the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Road.

4:35 p.m.: A victim in the 300 block of East 14th Street reported someone used their information to purchase numerous items, valued at $290, from Google and Amazon.

5:17 p.m.: A suspect reportedly assaulted a female victim in the 400 block of North Engineer Avenue, causing minor injury to her face. The suspect left the residence before an officer arrived.

Sept. 18

1:09 a.m.: A female suspect reportedly concealed $248.76 worth of merchandise and left the business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard without paying for the items.

Arrests

Sept. 17

8:34 p.m.: Jay P. Messer, 54, of La Monte, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.

11:29 p.m.: Michael D. Lehman, 57, of California, Missouri, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance, speeding and driving with a revoked license.

Sept. 18

1:30 a.m.: Cole R. Rains, 32, of Branson, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
