This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Sept. 19

11:48 p.m.: Roger Stetzenbach, 34, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue for open container.

Sept. 20

8:15 p.m.: Emery M. Shipley, 19, of the 2900 block of James Road, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sept. 21

10:08 p.m.: Robert J. Sanchez, 19, address unknown, was arrested in the 900 block of Olsen Road on charges of resisting arrest, burglary, stealing and property damage.

Incidents

Sept. 21

1:28 p.m.: A possible attempted arson was reported at a residence in the 1300 block of East 10th Street. Damage was reported to the residence’s front porch.

9:55 p.m.: A phone and bank cards were reported stolen while the victim was at a Smith-Cotton football game in the 2000 block of Tiger Pride Boulevard.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Sept. 20

6:40 a.m.: Austin Gruber, of Warsaw, was arrested in the 1300 block of Boonville Road on a charge of stealing. Gruber was also arrested on numerous Sedalia Police Department charges.

Incidents

Sept. 20

5 p.m.: Jewelry and money was reported stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Walnut Street in La Monte.

Sept. 21

5 p.m.: Trespassing was reported near the intersection of Swisher Road and state Route 52 in Windsor.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

Sept. 21

11:02 a.m.: Glen W. Allen, 39, of Princeton, was arrested in Moniteau County on a charge of careless and imprudent driving.

9:24 p.m.: Roy D. Miller, 25, of Halfway, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, no insurance and a seat belt violation.

Sept. 22

8 a.m.: Bonnie J. Carey, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to place a motor vehicle not in motion as far right as practicable.
