Arrests

Sept. 22

7:08 p.m.: Shameka Monique Moran, 37, of the 1400 block of New England Drive, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Sneed Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

Sept. 23

3:06 a.m.: Alvin Odell Brown Jr., no address given, was arrested in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of first degree trespassing.

10:35 a.m.: Joshua David McAlister, 20, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of West Sixth Street and Harrison Avenue on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon.

Incidents

Sept. 22

9:56 a.m.: Four counterfeit bills were reportedly used to pay for items at a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue.

10:18 a.m.: License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of East Second Street.

12:38 p.m.: A female victim was reportedly assaulted in the 800 block of West 14th Street.

7:31 p.m.: A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

7:56 p.m.: A boy’s bicycle, valued at $250, was reported stolen from the front yard of a residence in the 1700 block of South Park Avenue.

Sept. 23

10:50 a.m.: A vehicle fire was reported in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The subject had been using the company vehicle to collect trash from a dumpster behind several businesses. When he returned to the vehicle, smoke was rolling out of the air vents. Only the vehicle was damaged, and no injuries were reported.
