This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 26

12:21 a.m.: Dmitriy P. Ovseychuk, 21, of Hughesville, was arrested in the 500 block of West Fifth Street on a charge of identity theft.

10:56 a.m.: Pedro Barajas-Garcia, 27, of La Monte, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Washington Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

10:54 p.m.: Nicholas H.C. Dunn, 25, of Chilhowee, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing, first degree burglary, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Maurice D. Persaud, 38, of Warrensburg, Chisum W. Wilcox, 23, of Corder, and Adam T. Ball, 36, of Warrensburg, were all arrested on a charge of stealing.

Sept. 27

12:01 p.m.: Warren Goodhand Clark III, 32, of the 1200 block of East 10th Street, was arrested in the 1800 block of South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of identity theft.

Sept. 28

2:48 p.m.: Freddie Maurice Thomas IV, 45, of the 1100 block of South Massachusetts Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 11th Street and South Osage Avenue on a charge of stealing.

7:47 p.m.: Aaron Wayne Moore, 24, of Pilot Grove, was arrested in the 2700 block of South Limit Avenue on charges of first degree property damage and first degree trespassing.

Sept. 25

5:09 p.m.: An assault with a firearm was reported in the 600 block of West Fifth Street. The victim reported the suspect made motions of holding a firearm while threatening the victim’s life.

Sept. 26

7:10 a.m.: A male reportedly assaulted a female subject in the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue. The female stated the male assaulted her with a knife and by choking her. She had no obvious injuries. The male was located at a residence in the 1200 block of East 18th Street with minor injuries to his hand.

11:26 a.m.: A subject reportedly tried to enter a business in the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard by prying open the drive thru window, which sustained damage.

2:02 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in a business parking lot in the 1800 block of South Ingram Avenue.

Sept. 27

12:19 p.m.: A set of keys, valued at $30, was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1700 block of West Fourth Street.

3:06 p.m.: A subject reportedly kicked a dent into the lower driver’s side door of a vehicle in the 1500 block of West Fourth Street.

Sept. 28

12:14 p.m.: A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle while parked at a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect reportedly tried multiple times to use the victim’s debit card.

5:15 p.m.: A 24’ orange extension ladder was reported stolen from behind a business in the 200 block of Main Street. Contact was made with the suspect, who was issued a municipal court summons, and the ladder was returned to the owner.

Incidents

Sept. 28

7:59 a.m.: Property damage was reported in the 3600 block of Mitchell Road in Sedalia. An electrical line out to a light pole at a business was reportedly snapped in half. Damage is estimated at $2,500.

5:36 p.m.: A burglary was reported in the 23000 block of Gottschalk Road in Sedalia.

9:01 p.m.: A burglary was reported in the 26000 block of Camp Branch Road in Sedalia.

10:59 p.m.: Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a physical fight that involved several people and a possible firearm in the 1800 block of Honda Road in Sedalia.

Sept. 28

7:30 p.m.: Phillip E. Hicks, 63, of Blairstown, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
