Oct. 3-4 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 30

9:20 a.m.: Brian G. Mummert, 37, of the 300 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested at his residence on charges of stealing and two counts of forgery.

Oct. 1

1:28 p.m.: Robert Allen Gullett Jr., 24, of the 600 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of private peace disturbance.

Sept. 30

11:35 a.m.: Spray paint was reported on a section of the east side of a business in the 100 block of West Sixth Street.

Oct. 1

5:56 a.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Osage Avenue.

9:16 a.m.: A purse and its contents were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive.

9:44 a.m.: Students reported seeing a man running around the area of their bus stop in the 500 block of South Osage Avenue. He allegedly had a knife. The children reported it to the bus driver, who reported it to the school principal. There was no danger to the children, as he was moving toward the woods and was just running.

10:06 a.m.: Unspecified items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive. The victim told officers she had found items under a nearby dumpster. It is believed the items were stolen from other vehicles in the area.

10:09 a.m.: Identity theft was reported at a business in the 3300 block of West Broadway Boulevard when a subject tried to purchase items at a business.

10:52 a.m.: A victim in the 500 block of West Seventh Street reported someone used their identity to get electrical service without permission. As a result, the victim received a $700 bill.

11:16 a.m.: A backpack containing textbooks, valued at $420, was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Brianna Drive.

1:43 p.m.: A backpack, textbook and headphones were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3100 block of West 10th Street.

9:28 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 13th Street and South Osage Avenue for a minor traffic violation. The subject then fled on foot, and the officer was unable to locate him.

9:46 p.m.: A victim reported he returned to his residence in the 600 block of West Sixth Street and found a door had been forced open. It appeared parts of the residence had been searched. A power tool set and a knife, combined value of $225, were reported stolen.

10:24 a.m.: Littering was reported in the 3000 block of East 28th Street in Sedalia.

Oct. 2

2:03 a.m.: A domestic disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Villa Drive in Sedalia.

12:05 p.m.: A theft was reported from a business in the 36000 block of Rod and Gun Club Road in Cole Camp.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

Oct. 1

9:02 p.m.: Amy R. Kephart, 34, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, failure to drive on the right half of the road resulting in an accident and no proof of insurance.
