Oct. 7 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 5

5:18 p.m.: Chad E. Lindley, 31, of Blackburn, was arrested in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and driving with a suspended license.

7:30 p.m.: Isidro M. Nuci, 64, of the 1800 block of South Prospect Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of North Grand Avenue and West Pettis Avenue for failure to obtain a burn permit.

Oct. 6

1:50 p.m.: Bethany Joanna Wuebker, 23, of the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested in the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue on a charge of resisting arrest.

Incidents

Oct. 5

7:36 a.m.: A vehicle was reportedly ransacked and $500 in cash was stolen from inside in the 1600 block of West Fifth Street.

9:50 a.m.: Unspecified items, valued at $100, were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue.

2:44 p.m.: A victim in the 1400 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported his identity had been stolen by a suspect in North Carolina and used for a $1,000 phone bill. The account was opened around Jan. 25.

7:02 p.m.: An employee at a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard reported asking a female to leave the business after recognizing her as someone who had previously stolen from the store. After the suspect left, the employee checked video footage and saw the suspect placing unspecified items into her purse.

Oct. 6

9:58 a.m.: The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office notified SPD of a possible sexual assault against a child in the 1500 block of South Kentucky Avenue at an unknown date.

1:15 p.m.: $10 worth of gas was reported stolen from a business in the 3800 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The suspect is described as a white male with dark hair and a beard. He was last seen traveling east on U.S. Highway 50 in a gray Chevrolet Lumina.

1:24 p.m.: A victim reported being pick-pocketed at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A wallet, valued at $200, containing $70 was stolen.

Arrests

Oct. 5

4:58 p.m.: Patricia A. Sawyer, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

11:07 p.m.: Brendan M. Menees, 19, of Wildwood, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and failure to stop at a stop sign.
