Oct. 12 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 9

1:06 p.m.: Robert J. McCracken, 28, of the 1900 block of South Osage Avenue, Sedalia, on charges of violation of vehicle noise restrictions, no license plates and no proof of insurance.

4:11 p.m.: Elmer J. Miley, Jr. of the 600 block of East 10th Street, Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of East 12th Street and Hancock Avenue, on a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

Oct. 10

1:25 p.m.: Joe J. Garcia, 32, was arrested in the 200 block of West Second Street on a third-degree assault charge for allegedly striking a woman in the nose.

Incidents

Oct. 9

2:45 p.m.: A theft by sealing was reported in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

7:54 p.m.: police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident on West Highway 50 near in the intersection of South Thompson Avenue. The victim told police, the suspect rear-ended her car on West Highway 50 and she and the suspect pulled into a private driveway on S. Thompson Avenue. The suspect driver allegedly fled on foot from the scene. No injuries were reported.

5:51 p.m.: A female subject reportedly stole $60 from a female victim in the 1200 block of East 18th Street. The victim was able to provide suspect information.

Arrests

Oct. 10

12:57 a.m.: Jesus E. Maciel-Guiterrez, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated.

3:42 a.m.: Heather B. Brown, 51, of Slater, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
