Dec. 7 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 5

6:15 p.m.: Daryan Michael Harrison, 19, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Boradway Boulevard on a charge of theft by stealing. He was issued a Municipal Court summons.

9:23 p.m.: Wesley Dean Anderson, 39, of the 300 block of East 11the Street in Sedalia, was arrested in the 200 block of East 24th Street on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of concealed contraband in a county jail and a fugitive warrant from out of state. Anderson was arrested following a traffic stop. The alleged drigs were discovered on his possession at the Pettis County Jail.

Charles N. Cole, 65, of Florence, Missouri, was arrested in the 200 block of East Moniteau Avenue on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and abuse of a child following an altercation with the juvenile. Police are recommending that charges be filed against the juvenile by juvenile authorities.

Dec. 4

1:42 p.m.: Victoria J. Dolci, 34, of the 400 block of Welch Court in Sedalia was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of shoplifting. She was issued a Municipal Court summons.

Valerie N. Peterman31, of the 1200 block of East Third Street was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of shoplifting. She was issued a Municipal Court summons.

11:06 p.m.: Princeton Duran Banks, 31, of the 300 block of East Second Street in Sedalia, was arrested in the 300 block of East Second Street on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a noise complaint at a residence and detected an odor of suspected marijuana.

Dec. 5

11:37 p.m.: A body was discovered by police and fire officials who responded to a house fire in the 600 block of East 10th Street. The deceased has been identified as Daniel T. Smith, 53. No other details have been released and the case in under investigation by the state fire marshal.

Arrests

Dec. 6

12:49 a.m.: Timothy R. Ekern. 56, of Liberty, was arrested in Clay County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a crash and careless and imprudent driving that resulted in a crash.

1:53 a.m.: Jake T. Freeman, 18, of Warsaw, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and minor in possession of alcohol.

Dec. 5

3:13 a.m.: Jeremy D. Riggs, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and not wearing a seat belt.

2:25 a.m.: Earl B. Brown, 53, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and speeding.

1:30 a.m.: David A. Rogers, 49, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Clay County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding.

12;41 a.m.: Seth M. Cooper, 20, of Marshall, arrested in Saline County on charges of resisting arrest by fleeing, speeding, careless and imprudent driving and following too close.
