Dec. 9 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 3

11:06 p.m.: Austin L. Moore, 22, of the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive, was arrested in the 1200 block of West Main Street on a charge of driving while intoxicated. An officer responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident when a passerby reported a vehicle was in a ditch near the railroad tracks. Moore was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center and then the Pettis County Jail.

Dec. 7

9:40 p.m.: Bruce J. Auwater, 65, of the 300 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of East U.S. Highway 50 and Air Park Road on charges of distributing/delivering synthetic narcotics, distributing/delivering marijuana, possession of synthetic narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer pulled Auwater over for a traffic stop for his license plate light being out. After issuing a written warning for the light, the officer received consent to search the vehicle. He found methamphetamine and marijuana in Auwater’s shoe, who admitted he was delivering it to another subject.

Incidents

Dec. 7

8:57 a.m.: A pawn shop in the 2700 block of South Ingram Avenue reported they had received what they thought was a stolen gun. A SPD officer matched the gun’s serial number and description to a report of a gun reported stolen in Clinton.

Arrests

Dec. 7

1:27 p.m.: Travis B. Grady, 29, and Anthony B. Fowler, 28, both of Bristol, Tennessee, were both arrested in Saline County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, possession of hydrocodone and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
