This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 14

3:30 p.m.: Jeanie M. Parish, 37, of the 1300 block of East Boonville Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Dec. 15

2:19 p.m.: Thomas Waddell Bentley Jr., 59, of the 1400 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Center Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

3:15 p.m.: Sarena M. Carter, 18, of the 2200 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons in the 200 block of West Second Street. She and a juvenile female allegedly stole medications from a local business.

Dec. 16

10:43 a.m.: Aaron Charles Blondell, 46, of the 2900 block of Westlake Street, was arrested in the 1700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

12:37 p.m.: Levi G. Markes, 25, of the 20000 block of Smasal Road, was arrested near the intersection of North Ohio Avenue and Pacific Street on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Dec. 14

3:50 p.m.: A juvenile was possibly sexually abused in Sedalia.

Dec. 15

1:42 p.m.: An officer was checking on a male subject in the 900 block of East Fifth Street who had been seen doing a drug transaction. The subject was located in a vehicle in the area. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He began to attempt to search the subject when he fled on foot southbound on Fifth Street.

6:44 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of South Limit Avenue and Liberty Park Boulevard.
