Dec. 26-27 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests:

Dec. 24

2:58 p.m.: Jennifer M. Ray, 36, of the 600 block of Grand Avenue in Sedalia, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Avenue on charges of theft by stealing and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:57 a.m.: Christopher A. Arbuckle, age unknown, and Danielle M. Arbuckle, age unknown of the 600 block of East Ninth Street in Sedalia were both arrested at their residence for domestic violence charges.

11:23 p.m.: Joshua Ray Smith, 32, of the 400 block of North Hurley Street, was arrested in the 400 block of North Hurley Street on a charge of public peace disturbance.

11:11p.m.: Timothy R. Smith, 27, of Smithton was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and Kentucky Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, failure to register a vehicle with the Department of Revenue, and no insurance. Smith was placed on a 24-hour hold to due multiple priors arrests for the same offenses.

Incidents

Dec. 24

1:00 p.m.: A report of a burglary was taken in the 1000 block of East Fifth Street. According to a police report, someone broke into the residence without taking anything. The suspect was reported to have poured vinegar on the bed of the resident’s daughter.

4:23 p.m.: A report of found property was taken in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue. The reporting party found a heart-shaped tombstone in his yard.

Dec. 23

9:50 p.m.: Scott E. Meadows, age unknown, was arrested was arrested on 32nd Street on charges of identity theft, driving with a revoked license and introducing contraband into the jail.

Arrests

Dec. 25

1: 26 a.m.: Justin D. Ivey, 26, of Kansas City Missouri, was arrested in Clay county on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding.

Dec. 24:

1:24 a.m.: Reed R. Harms, 21, of Stover, Missouri, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.

1:50 p.m.: Tawon P. Brown, 26, of Concordia, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, no seat belt, and failure to secure a child under the age of 8 in a child seat.

10: 22 p.m.: Raymond L. Iiams, 40, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County on an outstanding warrant out of Pettis County, no license plate light, no valid license plate, driving on a suspended license and no seat belt.
