June 23 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 18

3:07 p.m.: Austin R. Casey, 18, of Knob Noster, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Vermont Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

June 20

11:16 p.m.: Isidro Rubio-Herrera, 22, of the 1800 block of North Montgomery Avenue, was arrested in the 600 block of North Missouri Avenue on charges of operator’s license required, vehicle to be driven carefully and destruction of city property.

Incidents

June 18

3:12 p.m.: License plates were reported stolen from a shed at a residence in the 900 block of East 13th Street. The victim indicated a subject known to her admitted they had taken the plates and loaned them to an unknown subject.

June 19

3:26 p.m.: A subject reportedly forced entry into a residence in the 500 block of East Fourth Street through the back door and stole various tools.

June 20

1:52 a.m.: A motorcycle was reported damaged in the 200 block of East 28th Street. It reportedly had scratches and broken parts.

11:17 a.m.: A victim reported she believed she was raped overnight at her residence near the intersection of East Boonville Street and North Emmett Avenue, but she could not recall the specifics of the incident. The victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further evaluation.

3:39 p.m.: A 21-year-old male subject reportedly spat in the face of a female victim and threw an unopened can of soda at her, striking her arm, in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.

10:29 p.m.: A wallet was found in the 4100 block of West Main Street.

June 21

12:46 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of South Quincy Avenue and West Third Street.

9:41 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of East Sixth Street and South Montgomery Avenue.

11:04 p.m.: A Pizza Hut delivery driver was reportedly robbed at gunpoint by a male subject in the driveway of a residence in the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue. The driver was not injured.

Incidents

June 22

9:17 a.m.: A vehicle reported stolen in Bolivar was recovered near the intersection of state Route 127 and state Route V south of La Monte.

11:44 a.m.: An assault was reported in the 27000 block of Green Road.

Arrests

June 21

3:31 p.m.: Jonathan N. Goodwin, 32, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the road, insurance violation, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
