This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Jan. 11

7:58 p.m.: Tony L. Everts, 35, of Knob Noster, was arrested in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Drive on a charge of stealing. The suspect reportedly stole an item valued at $26.99 from a business.

Incidents

Jan. 11

8:55 p.m.: A pouch containing identification cards and a methamphetamine pipe was found at a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue.

Jan. 12

11:37 a.m.: A SPD officer responded to Smith-Cotton Junior High in the 300 block of East Broadway Boulevard to assist a Children’s Division representative. A juvenile subject was reportedly assaulted at home.

2:05 p.m.: A 20-foot flatbed trailer, valued at $2,000, was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Waterloo Drive.

4:16 p.m.: A power line was down near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Oak Grove Lane. It appeared a tractor trailer turning south on Oak Grove cut across the corner, striking the street light.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Incidents

Jan. 10

3:02 p.m.: Child abuse was reported in the 23000 block of Mather Road in Sedalia.

Jan. 11

4:01 a.m.: A domestic assault was reported in the 300 block of East Clay Street in Smithton. Pettis County deputies along with the Pettis County Juvenile Office will conduct the investigation.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

Jan. 13

1:36 a.m.: Kristen R. Williams, 20, of Lebanon, Ohio, and Cody J. Kingsley, 22, of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, were both arrested in Saline County on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
