Jan. 15 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 9

6:38 p.m.: Monica Dorene Snider, 43, of the 700 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Third Street and South Washington Avenue on charges of second degree trafficking drugs, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Timothy Brian Edwards, 50, of the 200 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

A SPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it disobeyed a stop sign. The passenger was found to be in possession of a liquid form of methamphetamine.

9:21 p.m.: Dwayne Lee Jones, 36, of Deepwater, was arrested in the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard on charges of first degree assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, first degree tampering with a motor vehicle, first degree property damage, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended/revoked license and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

A SPD officer responded to a vehicle accident near the intersection of 16th Street and Thompson Boulevard. Upon arrival, the suspect was fleeing the scene. The officer pursued the vehicle with a Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputy. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle rammed the deputy’s patrol car. The suspect was taken into custody after he fled on foot.

Jan. 13

10:36 a.m.: Maria Del Carmen Hernandez-Arista, 33, of the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested at her residence on charges of identity theft, stealing and forgery.

A female victim in Jacksonville, Florida, reported her identity had been stolen and a possible suspect was in Sedalia. A suspect was identified and arrested in Sedalia and later admitted to the offenses. The suspect used the victim’s identity for several years in various communities to obtain services and loans.

11:17 a.m.: Juan Romero Ubaldo, 38, of the 600 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Harrison Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Arrests

Jan. 13

12:34 p.m.: Joshua A. Pittman, 35, of Topeka, Kansas, was arrested in Saline County on charges of speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:06 p.m.: Remington D. Homan, 18, of Green Ridge, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.

11:23 p.m.: Aaron R. Dove, 21, of Green Ridge, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

11:26 p.m.: Jonathan M. Walters, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, no insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle.
