This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 21

8:01 p.m.: Charles R. May, 32, of the 300 block of North Veterans Memorial Drive, was arrested near the intersection of West Third Street and South Osage Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Jan. 22

9:21 a.m.: Juan Pablo Uribe, 52, of the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and Grand Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and identity theft.

12:15 p.m.: Chasidy Faith Perez, 27, of the 1100 block of West Third Street, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Washington Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

2:54 p.m.: Antonio Marcos Quetzecua, 27, of the 4200 block of West Main Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 18th Street and Prospect Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

3:17 p.m.: Jill Kay Banks, 43, and Whitney Amanda Green, 33, both of Blackburn, were both arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of stealing.

9:31 p.m.: Joe Fernandez Jr., 46, of the 1200 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue on charges of careless driving and driving with a suspended license.

Jan. 23

12:31 p.m.: Miguel Quetzecua-Rodriguez, 45, of the 1800 block of South Montgomery Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East 18th Street and Montgomery Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

2:17 p.m.: Susan M. Schmieg, 51, of the 800 block of West 20th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Seventh Street and South Ohio Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

9:30 p.m.: Francisco R. Carlos, 23, of the 1700 block of South Summit Avenue, was arrested in the 1400 block of South Summit Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance in a county jail. Officers were conducting an investigation in the area involving a burglary. During the investigation, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered in a subject’s vehicle. The subject was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where additional marijuana was found on the subject.

Jan. 24

10 a.m.: Dana Lee Summers, 37, of the 700 block of East 24th Street, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of West 24th Street and Ohio Avenue for possession of marijuana. An officer pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop after disobeying a stop sign and obtained consent to search the vehicle.

Incidents

Jan. 22

7:54 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of gun shots in the 2100 block of East 10th Street. Upon arrival they found evidence of a shooting. No one was at the residence at the time of the shooting so no injuries occurred. There are no suspects.

Jan. 23

2:31 p.m.: Five subjects, at least one of them known to the victim, reportedly broke into a residence in the 1300 block of East Seventh Street, damaging property and stealing unspecified items valued at $800.

Jan. 24

1:19 p.m.: An assault was reported at a business in the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard around midnight the night before. One victim was reportedly hit in the mouth with a bottle and then kicked in the head once they fell down. The other victim was punched in the face.

5:20 p.m.: A complainant reported his juvenile son received injuries at a known female subject’s residence in the 1000 block of South Lamine Avenue.

Jan. 25

1:19 a.m.: A victim reported that while walking down the road near the intersection of Seventh Street and Moniteau Avenue, he was assaulted by two subjects known to him. He complained of chest pain, but the officer observed no signs of injury. The victim was taken by the Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center where he later left against medical advice.

Jan. 24

1:23 p.m.: Richard N. Gallagher, 25, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
