Feb. 2 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Jan. 22

5:47 p.m.: Raymond Pawlikowski, 51, of the 100 block of South Gentry Avenue, was arrested in the 100 block of East 24th Street on charges of trespassing and stealing. Officers spoke with subjects at a residence in the 100 block of East 24th Street who reported a subject stole a shower out of their yard. Officers located Pawlikowski, who stated he did take the shower.

Jan. 29

7:20 p.m.: Kyndel A. Smith, 17, of Otterville, was arrested near the intersection of East 10th Street and South Lamine Avenue on charges of felony possession of marijuana, distributing marijuana, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer conducted a traffic stop due to no license plate lights. He detected a strong odor of marijuana. The vehicle was later searched and the occupants were found to be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and additional items to indicate distribution of marijuana. A loaded handgun was also found with the drug items. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of charges.

9:55 p.m.: Carl M. McCallum, 47, of the 1200 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West Sixth Street and South Harrison Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and license plates required.

Jan. 30

4:08 p.m.: Julie Kay Herbst, 48, and Christopher Wayne Mathis, 37, both of the 400 block of East Boonville Street, were both arrested at their residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. Officers responded to a physical altercation between a male and female in the front yard. After speaking with the subjects and witnesses, the two subjects were arrested.

Incidents

Jan. 29

8:07 p.m.: A green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado was reported missing from an automotive business’ lot in the 3000 block of Clinton Road. It was last seen Jan. 26.

Jan. 31

10:42 a.m.: A subject reportedly drew offensive items on the windshield of a vehicle in the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue.

Arrests

Jan. 31

7:47 p.m.: Kevin William Darling, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of Quisenberry Road and state Route Y for driving with a revoked license.

Jan. 31

6:58 p.m.: Nicole R. Lewis, 36, of Grandview, was arrested in Benton County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the road and failure to display valid plates.
