Feb. 22 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 19

8:10 a.m.: Roger W. Green, 37, of the 800 block of South Marshall Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons at his residence for failure to obtain a permit to burn.

9:34 a.m.: Sabrina R. McKinnon, 21, of the 3400 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested in the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue on a charge of failure to return rental property valued at $1,000 or more.

The complainant reported the suspect had allegedly rented about $9,000 in property from a business and never paid the monthly required payment.

Feb. 20

1:49 a.m.: William Freaderick Fizer, 32, of the 400 block of East 16th Street, was arrested in the 1100 block of South Limit Avenue on charges of distributing marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.

An officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of 11th Street and South Limit Avenue for failure to signal, speeding and the front license plate was not attached to the vehicle. Upon making contact with the occupants, the officer detected the odor of marijuana. He searched the vehicle and found marijuana packaged in a manner indicative of selling it. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.

9:16 a.m.: Ryan David Hale, 30, of the 30000 block of state Route M, was arrested near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Ingram Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

10:28 p.m.: Michael Lashawn Taylor Jr., 24, of the 400 block of Sixth Street, was arrested in the 1200 block of Maple Lane on charges of stealing and second degree burglary.

Feb. 21

1:15 a.m.: Irving Alan Martin III, 32, of the 200 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Feb. 20

9:12 a.m.: The vinyl top of a Ford Mustang convertible was reported slashed overnight in the 1000 block of South Mildred Avenue, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage.

12:42 p.m.: A residence in the 2200 block of East Broadway Boulevard was reportedly broken into. A chainsaw, drill, two sets of wheels and other miscellaneous items were reported missing from the home.

3:40 p.m.: A bearded dragon was reported stolen from a business in the 200 block of West Main Street. There is video of the theft, which occurred around 2 p.m.

Arrests

Feb. 19

5:31 p.m.: James M. Sheets, 49, of La Monte, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

5:53 p.m.: Michael W. Anderson, 52, of Kansas City, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated, failure to register a motor vehicle and broken tail lamp.

9:16 p.m.: Roy E. Borecky, 65, of Liberal, Kansas, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license and leaving the scene of a traffic crash.

10:59 p.m.: William C. Wolf, 20, of California, Missouri, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

Feb. 20

12:40 a.m.: Martyseon Q. Kelley, 22, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

1:44 a.m.: Villiam A. Izoita, 18, of Hughesville, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, minor in possession, speeding and careless and imprudent driving.

11:24 p.m.: Frank J. Van Hook, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and failure to register a motor vehicle.
