Feb. 27-28 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 24

8:28 a.m.: Tyler Thompson, 19, of the 200 block of East Boonville Street, was arrested in the 600 block of North Ohio Avenue on a charge of stealing. A $500 Visa gift card was reported stolen by an employee at a business in the 600 block of North Ohio Avenue.

Feb. 25

5:41 a.m.: Joshua Andrew Winkler, 23, of the 700 block of East 15th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 17th Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of possession of marijuana.

An officer stopped a male subject on a bicycle that had no lights on the bike and was difficult to see. Upon making contact with the subject, it was found he was in possession of marijuana.

5:40 p.m.: Kevin Neil Richards, 33, of the 500 block of North Stewart Street, was arrested in the 100 block of Winchester Drive on a charge of second degree property damage. A witness reportedly observed the suspect cut a victim’s satellite dish cord.

Incidents

Feb. 24

11:18 a.m.: A black male suspect reportedly asked a male subject for money at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, then threatened to knock out the subject because the suspect thought he was lying about not having any money. Once other customers arrived, the suspect departed the area.
