March 2 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 28

4:18 a.m.: Barbara A. Terrell, 41, of Jefferson City, was arrested near the intersection of South Winchester Drive and West Broadway Boulevard on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a non-functioning brake light. During the traffic stop a K9 Unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotic odor. A search of the vehicle was performed and officers found methamphetamine, drug packaging supplies/materials and drug paraphernalia. Terrell has been formally charged with each of the above three charges and was issued a $250,000 bond, cash or surety.

Feb. 29

2:49 p.m.: Anastasia Esther Walters, 24, of the 1300 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested near the intersection of East 12th Street and Marvin Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

March 1

8:08 a.m.: Juan P. Uribe, 52, of the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West Magnolia Street and South Grand Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

10:49 a.m.: William Joseph Curry, 43, of the 100 block of East Walnut Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Third Street and South Lafayette Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

11:37 a.m.: Terez Dominque Lewis, 27, of the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Feb. 29

8:25 p.m.: Officers responded to the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue for a report of gunshots. Residents in the area heard multiple gunshots in the area. Officers found shell casings in the area. There are no victims or suspects identified at this time. No property damage was reported.

9:17 p.m.: Three subjects reported they were threatened by two suspects during the course of a property exchange in the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue. One suspect allegedly threatened to stab the three subjects and the other allegedly threatened to shoot the three subjects with a gun. The two suspects then allegedly tailgated the three subjects around Sedalia after they left the area. The two suspects are known and the report has been forwarded to detectives for a follow-up investigation.

March 1

9:56 a.m.: An unknown subject reportedly entered an apartment in the 400 block of Welch Court while the resident was sleeping and stole a 40-inch Samsung Smart TV, a PlayStation 4 and a blue PlayStation controller, combined estimated value of $615. The resident said his door was unlocked.

Feb. 29

7:01 p.m.: Kameron K. Evans, 22, of Moberly, was arrested in Saline County on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
