March 3 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 1

10:47 p.m.: Bryant Alexander Creely, 25, no address given, was arrested in the 4200 block of South Limit Avenue on a charge of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle. Officers received an anonymous tip that a subject was trying to steal a truck. Officers located the vehicle and the subject was inside. The subject had keys to the vehicle but did not have permission to take the vehicle. The subject was not known by the victim.

11:24 a.m.: Cory Jade Pope, 23, of the 300 block of East Second Street, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of East Second Street and South Lamine Avenue for open alcohol container. An open container of beer was found in the suspect’s vehicle during a traffic stop.

Arrests

Feb. 28

7:38 a.m.: Darrick Thomas Brown, 37, of the 1400 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested in the 5600 block of South Limit Avenue in Sedalia on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and second degree endangering the welfare of a child. Shannon L. Furnell, also of the 1400 block of South Sneed Avenue, was also arrested on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and second degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Incidents

Feb. 29

9:47 a.m.: A theft was reported in the 10000 block of state Route B in Green Ridge.

2:06 p.m.: A burglary was reported in the 3000 block of East 28th Street in Pettis County. Investigation is ongoing.

March 1

7:29 a.m.: A burglary was reported in the 22000 block of state Route H in Sedalia. Investigation is ongoing.

March 1

9 p.m.: Keith H. Kirby, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license.
