March 8 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 4

7:13 p.m.: Justin Ray Shelledy, 37, of the 600 block of North Heard Avenue, was arrested at his residence on charges of first degree trafficking drugs, possession of synthetic narcotics, unlawful possession of a concealable weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputy told a SPD officer a subject with a warrant was at a business in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard. The officers went to the subject’s residence. They searched the residence and vehicle and found a large amount of methamphetamine, an illegal handgun and drug packaging materials.

March 5

4:26 a.m.: Wayne Thomas Lion, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 3600 block of South Limit Avenue on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:59 a.m.: Christian D. Marsch, 37, of the 500 block of West 13th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East 11th Street and South Ohio Street on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

9:14 p.m.: Thomas Allen Williams, 25, and Brian Keith Johnson Jr., 28, both of Sedalia, were arrested near the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and West Ninth Street on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer noticed a vehicle did not have a front license plate and turned around to follow them. The vehicle then disobeyed a stop sign and the officer conducted a traffic stop.

March 6

11:25 p.m.: Donald D. Webb, 50, of the 500 block of West Jefferson Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Seventh Street and South Moniteau Avenue on charges of driving with a revoked license, forgery and failure to display plates.

The vehicle was stopped for several traffic violations. It was found the license plate had an improper year expiration sticker.

Incidents

March 5

12:58 a.m.: A subject reported their driver’s side window was shot out while driving around the intersection of West 10th Street and Thompson Boulevard. The subject went to a nearby business to call police.

3:59 p.m.: An officer responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center to speak to a male victim who reported they were assaulted at Housel Park in the 200 block of East Howard Street.

March 4

12:20 a.m.: Casey E. Jones, 43, of Celina, Ohio, was arrested in Saline County on charges of second degree drug trafficking (methamphetamine), felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance (prescription pills), concealment of prohibited article in county jail and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

12:20 a.m.: Caleb J. Jones, 18, of Celina, Ohio, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of second degree drug trafficking (methamphetamine), unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and following another vehicle too closely.

11:03 a.m.: Todd L. Burnett, 34, of Latham, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of operating a motor vehicle with an invalid operator’s license, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to wear a seat belt.

7:45 p.m.: Michael R. Singer, 38, of Emma, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:48 p.m.: Leallan C. Erfurth, 53, of Smithton, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no insurance.

March 5

1:24 a.m.: Sara B. Shireman, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and lane violation.

3:11 p.m.: Jacob R. Myers, 27, of Kansas City, was arrested in Henry County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, driving with a suspended license, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance and no seat belt.

March 6

12:43 a.m. Mary A. Miller, 58, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and lane violation.

1:35 a.m.: Chelsy L. Crow, 22, of Carrollton, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:47 p.m.: Kelsey E. Van Vickle, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, no license and lane violation.

March 7

9:10 a.m.: Michael L. Ruether, 27, of Russellville, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of speeding, no seat belt, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving with a suspended license and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
