March 9 Police Reports


This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 7

10:58 a.m.: Nicole M. Williams, 18, of the 1500 block of West Broadway Boulevard, was arrested at her residence on charges of stealing and 10 counts of fraudulent use of a credit device.

A male subject reported he recovered two credit cards he believed to be stolen. He said one client in the residence had the cards. The female subject reportedly told the male subject she took the cards from a person who worked at the Salvation Army. An officer made contact with the cards’ owner, who said she noticed them missing over the weekend. Several charges were made using the cards and the female suspect was taken into custody.

7:02 p.m.: Daylin R. Reed, 19, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons near the intersection of West 13th Street and South Missouri Avenue for possession of marijuana. A vehicle was stopped for failure to use a turn signal. The odor of marijuana was detected in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana.

Incidents

March 7

11:21 a.m.: A baby blue, three-wheel older model bicycle, valued at $500, was reported stolen from the backyard of a residence in the 1500 block of East Fifth Street. It is either a Montgomery Ward or Sears brand bicycle.

1:15 p.m.: Front and rear license plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at a shop for repair in the 100 block of West 16th Street. The back plate was reportedly replaced with another stolen plate.

March 4

12:20 a.m.: Casey E. Jones, 43, of Celina, Ohio, was arrested in Saline County on charges of second degree drug trafficking (methamphetamine), felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance (prescription pills), concealment of prohibited article in county jail and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

12:20 a.m.: Caleb J. Jones, 18, of Celina, Ohio, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of second degree drug trafficking (methamphetamine), unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and following another vehicle too closely.

11:03 a.m.: Todd L. Burnett, 34, of Latham, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of operating a motor vehicle with an invalid operator’s license, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to wear a seat belt.

7:45 p.m.: Michael R. Singer, 38, of Emma, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:48 p.m.: Leallan C. Erfurth, 53, of Smithton, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated and no insurance.

March 5

1:24 a.m.: Sara B. Shireman, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and lane violation.

3:11 p.m.: Jacob R. Myers, 27, of Kansas City, was arrested in Henry County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, driving with a suspended license, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance and no seat belt.

March 6

12:43 a.m. Mary A. Miller, 58, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and lane violation.

1:35 a.m.: Chelsy L. Crow, 22, of Carrollton, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:47 p.m.: Kelsey E. Van Vickle, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of driving while intoxicated, no license and lane violation.

March 7

9:10 a.m.: Michael L. Ruether, 27, of Russellville, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of speeding, no seat belt, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving with a suspended license and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
