This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

March 8

3:28 a.m.: Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith, 20, of the 800 block of East 10th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East 19th Street and South Washington Avenue on a charge of unlawful possession of an illegal weapon.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that disobeyed a stop sign. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver was in possession of brass knuckles, a prohibited weapon.

March 9

12:18 a.m.: Richard Lee McPhail, 44, of the 1900 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and East 12th Street on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

March 8

9:26 a.m.: Two 42-inch flat screen TVs, valued at $520 each, were reported stolen from a business in the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

March 8

1:54 p.m.: Alexander W. Twenter, 19, of Pilot Grove, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and minor in possession.

6:18 p.m.: Edward L. Holt, 48, of Kingsville, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.
