The heat is changing the schedule for high school football.

With week one games slated to kick off Friday, several area teams have moved their start times back because of the expected high temperatures.

Smith-Cotton’s opener at Republic will kick off at 7:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.

Windsor and Sweet Springs will kick off at 8 p.m. in the Greyhound Trophy game.

Cole Camp’s game at home against Skyline will also begin at 8 p.m.

Lincoln will kick off at 8 p.m. at Rich Hill.
