Johnson County crash ends in several charges
A Warrensburg man was injured in an accident at 9:09 a.m. Saturday in Johnson County and arrested on several charges.
Logan Englis, 21, was driving a motorcycle east on U.S. Highway 50 near NW 671 Road at a high rate of speed when he traveled off the side of the road into the median and was ejected, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Englis was taken to Research Medical Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate he was exempt from wearing a safety device.
At 9:28 a.m. he was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, tampering with a motor vehicle, careless and imprudent driving, possession of burglary tools, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, failure to drive on the right side of the road, failure to signal and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Kansas City man injured in Benton County
A Kansas City, Kan., man was injured in an accident at 8 a.m Sunday in Benton County.
Jose L. Guerrero, 31, was driving north on Highway 7 near Bethel Avenue when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Guerrero was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
