Arrests

Dec. 10

7:10 p.m.: Fredrick T. Curry, 38, of Tipton, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer stopped a vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue. He learned that Curry, a passenger, had a Pettis County warrant and took him into custody. Then, the officer reportedly found Curry was in possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Dec. 11

3:10 a.m.: Shawn Balark Brown, 29, of the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Officers were dispatched to Brown’s residence for a reported disturbance that involved a knife. An investigation reportedly revealed two subjects assaulted each other with a knife, and both had minor injuries. They arrested Brown after the incident and are requesting charges against the second subject, who wasn’t named in the report.

7:40 p.m.: Deputies took a report of a motor vehicle theft from the 1200 block of Elm Hills Boulevard. An investigation into the theft continues.
