As Pettis County residents took shelter from Wednesday’s severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings, the Sedalia-Pettis County Emergency Management Agency staff was experiencing its own “perfect storm.”The tornado sirens in Pettis County were not activated once the tornado warning was issued, in addition to the severe thunderstorm warning, shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, and EMA Director Dave Clippert said it was due to two problems that happened simultaneously.
