HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

Windsor 10, Otterville 0 F/6

Greyhound starter Clinton Johnson struck out 15 in a complete game shutout Tuesday hosting Otterville.

Johnson allowed no walks and one hit. He also scored three times going 1-4 at the plate.

Josh Nichols was 2-4 with a triple, 2 RBIs and scored twice. Jack Daughtery and Jonathon Astabie had 2 RBIs apiece.

Windsor hosts Versailles tomorrow at 5 p.m.

New Franklin 1, Pilot Grove 0

The Tigers stranded six runners Tuesday in a 1-0 loss to New Franklin.

Brady Rentel took the loss for Pilot Grove. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out seven.

New Franklin stranded Tiger baserunners on third in the fourth and sixth innings.

California 8, Cole Camp 2

Cole Camp allowed a trio of runs in the third and fourth inning to fall 8-2 to California at home Tuesday.

Kendrick Logan took the loss for the Bluebirds allowing eight runs on 10 hits. He walked five and struck out six.

Cole Camp scored their first run on a bases-loaded walk in the fourth. Holt Wroten singled in the Bluebirds’ second run with one out in the seventh.

The Bluebirds host Eldon 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Smith-Cotton 5, Knob Noster 4

Doubles: David Cho and Matthew Tilley lost 0-8; Jacob Hedrick and Mikhail Husyev won 8-8 (6); Ryan Hankins and Keron Irwin won 8-2.

Singles: David Cho lost 2-8, Jacob Hedrick lost 0-8, Mikhail Husyev lost 4-8, Matthew Tilley won 8-4, Ryan Hankins won 8-1 and Keron Irwin Won 8-4.

BOYS GOLF

Sacred Heart hosted a golf quad Monday at the Sedalia Country Club. Father Tolton shot a 171 team total to place first at the event. Lincoln fired a 181 as runners-up, Sacred Heart finished with 194 and Cole Camp shot a team score of 204 strokes.

Father Tolton’s Jack Parker and Chan Venn shot individual scores of 38 to lead all golfers. Boone Kroenke fired a 43, finishing third. Alex Pritzel of Cole Camp and Will Prenger of Sacred Heart tied for fourth one stroke behind Kroenke.

Sacred Heart boys golf competes at Warrensburg tomorrow.

Several area student-athletes were selected to the Central District Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association All-district Teams, announced this week.

Crest Ridge 3, Sacred Heart 2

Crest Ridge scored the go-ahead run on a Sacred Heart error in the bottom of the ninth Monday in Centerview.

Gremlin starter Kolin Brace allowed two unearned runs and struck out five in three innings. Chance Spangler tossed six innings in relief, striking out six and walking one.

Spangler and Nick Cashman accounted for the Sacred Heart RBIs.

Lincoln 12, Macks Creek 2 F/7

A 7-run sixth inning helped Lincoln dismiss Macks Creek in seven innings last Saturday.

Connor Spunaugle was 2-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs, a double and a stolen base. Dominic Simmons was 2-4 at leadoff for the Cardinals with a stolen base and RBI.

Corbin Reese allowed two hits and struck out six in five innings.

Hermitage 18, Lincoln 8 F/5

Hermitage scored six runs in the third and nine runs in the fifth Monday en route to an 18-8 victory over Lincoln.

Connor Spunaugle, Sam Hinrich and Heath Renno pitched for Lincoln. They issued 13 walks in 4.2 innings.

Derek Stephens batted 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs for the Cardinals.
