Chris Mergen and Will Prenger delivered scores of 38 and 39, respectively to lead the field and Sacred Heart golf to a top finish Monday at Tipton Country Club.

The Gremlins finished with a team score of 167. Logan Sunnarborg and Jack Lucchesi fired 9-round totals of 45.

Tipton shot a team total of 191, Warsaw at 193 and Smithton at 250.

HIGH SCHOOL

GIRLS SOCCER

Smith-Cotton 4, Camdenton 3

Two goals by Marilyn Ream carried the Lady Tigers over Camdenton 4-3 Monday on the road.

Annie Guier and Jill Vansell netted two more for Smith-Cotton. Ream, Maddie Davidson, Kristen Farrell and Brianna Pollitt picked up assists on the night.

JUNIOR VARSITY

Smith-Cotton 7, Camdenton 0

The Lady Tigers blanked Camdenton on the road Monday 7-0.

Marta Treuner, Reagan Hockett and Reagan Braveman scored two goals apiece and Carrin Whittall chipped in another.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

La Monte 17, Otterville 0 (F/3)

Eight of nine players in La Monte’s lineup had multi-hit games and Maya Martin reached base twice going 1-2 with a walk in a 17-0 home victory over Otterville.

Madison Harris held Otterville hitless and recorded six strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

Cole Camp 5, Fayette 0

Kendrick Logan struck out 16 batters in 5.2 innings to shutout Fayette at home Monday.

Logan allowed three hits and six walks to pick up the win.

Jarrett Farrarr, one of three Farrarr’s in the Cole Camp lineup, had a 2 RBI single in the third to put the Bluebirds up 3-0. He finished 2-3 at the plate with 3 RBIs.

Sacred Heart 11, Tipton 1

In a rematch of last year’s conference tournament final, the Gremlins defeated Tipton on the road Monday 11-1 in five innings.

Chance Spangler picked up the win, throwing three 1-hit innings with six strikeouts, a walk and a hit batter.

Kolin Brace and Brenden Volcko combined to go 5-for-8 at the plate and each earned an RBI.

Stover 16, Climax Springs 1

Colton Johanness struck out 13 and allowed two runs in a 16-1 win over Climax Springs.

He also hit a grand slam.

Dalton Keith went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Ethan Callahan walked twice, doubled and scored three times.

Pilot Grove 5, Cairo 3

Regan Meisenheimer struck out seven in as many innings to lead Pilot Grove over Cairo 5-3 at home Monday.

Pilot Grove scored the go-ahead runs in the sixth inning. Meisenheimer, Grant Vollrath and Austin Kollmeyer had one RBI apiece.
