Pilot Grove 12, Otterville 1 (F/5)

Ben Glenn struck out nine and allowed one run on five hits Thursday in a 12-1 victory over Otterville.

Pilot Grove scored three runs apiece in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings.


Lincoln 11, Smithton 1 (F/5)

The Cardinals defeated Smithton 11-1 on the road Thursday.

Lincoln jumped on the Tigers early, scoring three runs in the first, four in the second and three more in the third.

Connor Spunaugle pitched five innings, allowing three hits and striking out five.

Smithton scored in the third.


La Monte 18, Sacred Heart 0

The top-seeded Lady Vikings defeated Sacred Heart 18-0 in the second round of the Kaysinger Conference Tournament.

Maleiah Parker hit a home run over the fence and was 3-for-3 at the plate.

Madison Harris allowed no hits and struck out six. She was perfect at the plate with three singles.

La Monte hosts Windsor tomorrow at Centennial Field in Sedalia at 11 a.m.



Marshall defeated Smith-Cotton 9-0 at a home tennis match Friday.

In singles, Isaac Summers defeated David Cho 8-2. Jalal Alhamzawi defeated Jacob Hedrick 8-0. Jack Hemeyer defeated Matthew Tilley 8-6. Nick Smith defeated Mikhail Husyev 8-1. Nick Lueck defeated Ryan Hankins 8-5. William Raines defeated Keron Irwin 8-0.

In doubles, Jalal Alhamzawi and Jack Hemeyer defeated David Cho and Matthew Tilley. Isaac Summer and Nick Smith defeated Jacob Hedrick and Mikhail Husyev 8-2. Nick Luek and William Raines defeated Keron Irwin and Ryan Hankins 8-4.
