The 2016 Kaysinger Conference Baseball Tournament begins tomorrow at three locations around the area. Action begins at 9 a.m. at Lincoln, Windsor and Cole Camp high schools.

Lincoln (16-1) is the top seed. Sacred Heart is No. 2 and 10-3 on the year.

No. 8 Otterville (2-9) play No. 9 La Monte (2-11) at 9 a.m. in Lincoln, with the winner opposing the Cardinals at 11:30 a.m. The Vikings fell to Otterville 5-4 on March 28.

No. 6 Smithton (7-4) hosts the No. 11 seed Tipton at 9 a.m. in Windsor. The winner of that game faces the Greyhounds (11-5) at 11:30 a.m.

No. 7-seeded Stover (4-8) host No. 10 Green Ridge (2-9) at 9 a.m. in Cole Camp. The winner plays Sacred Heart at 11:30 a.m.

Northwest, the No. 4 seed play No. 5 seeded Cole Camp at 2 p.m. in Cole Camp. The Mustangs are 9-7 entering Saturday’s contest and the Bluebirds are 6-7.

The tournament resumes Monday with tournament semifinals hosted in Cole Camp and Lincoln.

The third place and championship games are scheduled to be played in Sedalia next Thursday.

Last season, Tipton defeated Lincoln 4-3 in the championship game to earn the Kaysinger Conference Tournament title.
