La Monte 13, Sweet Springs 10

The Vikings advanced in the Class 1 District 14 baseball tournament Friday with a 13-10 victory over Sweet Springs.

La Monte (5-15) face Santa Fe in Wellington at 6 p.m.

Wellington-Napoleon 8, Green Ridge 1

Green Ridge (4-18) fell in the Class 1 District 14 baseball tournament to end their season.

Wellington-Napoleon advances to the semifinals against Northwest. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday in Wellington.

Bunceton 6, Otterville 1

The Otterville Eagles lost 6-1 to Bunceton in the Class 1 District 9 tournament to end their season.

Bunceton advances to the semifinals and face Jamestown on Monday in St. Elizabeth, Missouri at 5 p.m.

LATE THURSDAY RESULTS

Lincoln 10, Northwest 8

A 7-run second inning propelled the Cardinals to a 10-8 victory Thursday over Northwest in Hughesville.

Despite a 6-run rally in the fourth, the Mustangs failed to recover agaisnt the Lincoln pitching staff of Connor Spunaugle, Corbin Mertgen, Corbin Reese and Grant Eifert.

Lincoln score 10 runs on five singles and four walks.
