The Sedalia Bombers begin their season in less than a week with a June 1 matchup against Chillicothe at Liberty Park in Sedalia.
Sedalia finished 24-15 last season, two games behind the St. Joseph Mustangs in the MINK Collegiate Baseball League North Division. The team returns five MINK League North All-Stars in Jordan Dey, Justin Holt, Justin Murphy and Jonothan Ramon, who led the league in home runs and RBIs last season.
Head coach Craig McAndrews said the team returned about a quarter of last season’s starters, and is anxious to see what a new crop of collegiate-level players can do this summer.
“I have a lot of faith in our team, but every summer, a lot of it is like a blind date,” McAndrews said. “You see stats, look at film, talk to coaches but you don’t know until you spend every day with them.”
Single game tickets are listed at $7 on the Sedalia Bomber’s website. Tickets for seniors ages 55 and up are $5, while children 12 and under are $1. Season tickets are available for $100 and includes any home postseason games.
