Chuck Coffey was on the pole alongside hometown driver Rudy Wirts in the hobby stock feature June 5, and preserved a lead after a non-racing related incident red flag to capture a win over the charging Mike Schrader.

It was a family affair in the super stocks feature, where brothers Cole and Derek Henson faced Harlan and Destiny Dowell, among others, and spent a majority of the race leading. Cole edged Harlan to win the event after he and Derek won their respective heat races.

Ayrton Gennetten snuck past leader Andy Bishop after a lap six caution brought the field together to take the 600cc micro sprint feature. Kameron Key started ninth and finished third after passing Nick Rasa on the final lap.

Last week’s winged sprint car feature winner Jonathan Cornell, battled Cody Baker’s 34 car for second place behind Corey Nelson early in Sunday’s race. Cornell took advantage of a caution on lap 16 to take the battle to Nelson, and Baker’s car, now second, broke down five laps later.

Baker finished eighth as Cornell won the feature and Nelson finished runner-up. Warrensburg’s Taylor Walton was third.
