Admission is free for active military and veterans when the Sedalia Bombers host the Ozark Generals at 7 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night at Liberty Park in Sedalia. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The Bombers (21-13) are coming off a two-game sweep of the Clarinda A’s after a 10-1 victory Wednesday in Iowa.

Sedalia are currently in a three-way tangle for first place in the MINK League North with the St. Joseph Mustangs and the Chillicothe Mudcats. While technically third by winning percentage, the Bombers are tied with Chillicothe (19-11) by record and a 1/2 game behind the Mustangs (18-11).

Friday’s matchup begins a four-game homestand for the Bombers, concluding their home schedule Monday against the Mudcats.

The Bombers are 2-3 against the Generals, losing 1-6 Friday, July 8 in the last matchup between the two teams.
