Reece Gabbert and Remington Hayes allowed five goals total as the State Fair Roadrunners offense failed to produce one in a road shutout Thursday against St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley.

The State Fair Lady Roadrunners lost 3-0 to St. Louis St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley on the road Thursday. Kylie King and Sarah Loomis split time at goalkeeper for the Lady Roadrunners.

The Lady Roadrunners play at Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday, Aug. 27.


Green Ridge defeated Lakeland in two junior varsity matches Thursday.

Green Ridge 2, Lakeland 1

The Lady Tigers defeated Lakeland 21-25, 26-24, 25-15 on Thursday in the first of two junior varsity matches.

Riley Hagedorn had five kills and Ashlyn Peck had four.

Natalie Hammers scored five aces and Matilyn Hayes recorded 10 assists.

Green Ridge 2, Lakeland 0

Green Ridge volleyball swept Lakeland in two sets to claim its second junior varsity victory of the night, 25-17, 25-20.

Jasmine Cowart led the team with five kills and eight aces. Jeannette Berry added four aces.

Sacred Heart 2, Crest Ridge 0

Gremlins volleyball improved to 2-0 after taking Crest Ridge in two sets on the road Thursday.

Hannah Wilhoit led Sacred Heart with six kills and four blocks. Anna Callis had eight digs.

Sacred Heart volleyball plays again Thursday, Sept. 1, hosting Sweet Springs.

Odessa 2, Smith-Cotton 1

The Lady Tigers lost its season opener on the road Thursday in three sets to Odessa, 25-14, 22-25, 22-25.

Jenna Rapp scored six service aces and Tori Jacobi had seven kills, seven digs and 14 assists.

Annabelle Lorenz added 11 assists. Rapp and Lorenz had seven kills apiece.
