Junior Bombers end season at Mid-America tourney

The Junior Bombers ended their season by going 2-2 at the Mid-America Tournament in Kansas City.

The Junior Bombers opened the tournament with an 8-3 loss to the ABA Prospects before beating KC Elite Gold 5-3 in the second game as Jayce Simoncic pitched two scoreless innings in relief for the win.

Simoncic and Ryan Wood each drove in a run and Seth Fraley had one RBI and three hits.

Sunday, the Junior Bombers lost 2-1 to the KC Elite Gold. They then beat Building Champions 5-3 as Chance Spangler pitched 5 1-3 innings for the win. Simoncic came on in relief for the save.

Sam Kindle drove in a pair of runs with a single. Jake McFail drove in a run and Ben Smeltzer had two hits.

The Junior Bombers end their season 17-7.
