All-District tournament teams announced

All-District honors were announced for each Kaysinger Conference basketball team across three classes and districts.

Cole Camp boy’s basketball captured the Class 3, District 13 tournament over California, 63-57, its first district title since 1994.

Brady Smith and Austin Berendzen were named All-District, and Bluebirds head coach Dan Schnell was named coach of the year.

Bailey Heimsoth represented the Lady Bluebirds, falling in the semifinals to California.

Sacred Heart secured the Class 2, District 14 tournament against Smithton, its fourth in five years.

Trent Lyles, Micah Tanguay and Colby Young made the list for the Gremlins.

Drew Apsher and Will Tripp represented the host team, Smithton, on the All-District list.

Lincoln landed two players on the team: Boone Kroenke and Mason Sanders.

Tipton and Sacred Heart girl’s basketball fell to Sweet Springs and New Franklin, respectively, in the tournament semifinals.

Abby Backes, Brooklynn Pace and Alyson Brant were named All-District for Tipton, while McKenna Beeler represented Sacred Heart.

Jenna Snapp earned All-District honors for the Smithton Lady Tigers.

Stover was represented by Shelby Jackson.

The Kaysinger Conference collected its third district tournament in the Class 1, District 8 playoff in Leeton, when the Green Ridge boys defeated Otterville 72-63 in the championship game.

Ryan Dove and Keaton Gibbs were first and second team All-District for the Tigers, respectively.

Madison Billingsley represented the Lady Tigers at second team All-District.

Jake Neal was first team All-District for Otterville and Spencer Saltsgaver was second team. Abby Nichols and Dalanney Stone earned first team All-District for the Lady Eagles.

Megan Walk and Megan Simpson earned spots on second team All-District for Northwest, while Connor Tichenor and Chandler Crosswhite were second team all-district for the Northwest boys.
