Stover tops field at home invitational

The Stover Bulldogs golf team defended the Rollings Hills Country Club in Versailles at the Stover Invitational, posting a team score of 359.

Windsor was runner up at 363 and Versailles was third, carding 397.

Cole Camp finished ahead of Smith-Cotton’s junior varsity, 407 to 413, placing fourth.

Smithton fired 461 and earned seventh, between sixth-place Crest Ridge and St. Paul Lutheran – Concordia.

The Greyhounds brought the tournament’s medalist and runner-up. Jack Daugherty carded 77 to claim the low score, followed by Ben Moser at 83.

Jeffrey Salmon of Hermitage also shot an 83.

Stover’s Landon Thompson fired an 85, placing fifth individually, while teammate Brenden Bauer followed with an 86.

A.J. Wilkerson led Smith-Cotton with an 89, while Conner Crabree fired a 92.

Josh Doll was the low man for Cole Camp, shooting a 93.

Team Results: Stover 359, Windsor 363, Versailles 397, Cole Camp 407, Smith-Cotton JV 413, Crest Ridge 443, Smithton 461, St. Paul Lutheran – Concordia 464.
