Clinton tennis edges Knob Noster

The Lady Panthers tennis team dropped the first match of the 2015 season 5-4 to Clinton on Monday.

Alexis Corona and Elizabeth Eccleton picked up 8-2 wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Kale Randall won 8-1 at No. 5.

In doubles play, Eccleton and Alixis Allen won 8-2. Corona and Jessica Yates fell 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.

“As a varsity team, losing by only one was tough,” said Knob Noster coach Rachel Ledbetter. “Our athletes fought really hard during their matches. I believe that our biggest difficulty throughout the competition was the unforced errors that we collected.”

The Lady Panthers will face Smith-Cotton on Tuesday.
